Geztålt is a collaborative project and proactive alliance founded by two individuals in the Moscow media industry.
The project focuses on exploring cultural trends and static forms by decomposing and synthesizing them into artistic statements.
The project aims to understand how random circumstances come together to form a coherent worldview and how individual associations are influenced by various social contexts and everyday practices.
Geztålt employs practices of introspection to reveal hidden beliefs through artistic structures such as wordplay, sound performances, and media content. The project incorporates theoretical concepts from anthropology, semantics, epistemology, and media theory to create profound conceptual reinterpretations of everyday experiences. By encouraging viewers to search for their own motivations and cognitive distortions, Geztålt emphasizes play, imitation, and simulation in their artistic process.
The project also throws electroacoustic and musical parties, claiming to have accidentally become pioneers of Russian hyperpop through their sonic experiments.

I was accosted by young girls with cameras as I was going about my business and I figured why not. One stood there and the other one lied to my face.
Then I decided to say that I was an artist and a sound engineer, not a sound artist. Skipped the girls all the way through to the evening, however there was also a guy.
Went up at the end, it hurt, especially when I got traded for the bathroom. But the burger was good.
All in all, talked a lot, but never got to the point.
